Position Product Development Technician Location San Diego, CA Duration 12+ Months Contract Hours 40.00 Hours/week Shift 1st Shift Client Medical Device Company Employment Type Contract on W2 (US Citizens or GC Holders Only) Job Description Summary We are seeking a Product Development Technician for our San Diego, CA facility. This person contributes to the completion of routine technical tasks and develops solutions to routine technical problems of specified scope. Their contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals in the unit. Must-Haves High school diploma or equivalent education. Experience in a lab environment (corporate, school, or regulated environment). Experience following written procedures. Proficiency with lab‑type equipment (not engineering design). Roles & Responsibilities Complete technical tasks and support engineers on various assignments. Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data such as laboratory test results and engineering design changes. Produce engineering documents, reports, and drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, schematics). Prepare reports and summaries, including quantitative analysis. Help scope equipment for use and complete qualifications. Work with the team to organize lab functions, including calibration. Notify the manager of factors that may affect the project. Help develop prototype processes and test set‑ups. Execute designed test protocols and conduct testing. Document and communicate test results effectively. Support hardware debugging. Experience & Qualifications Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to understand and perform designed test procedures. Ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional group. Develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.
