CAD / Survey Manager Middle Tennessee | $85K+ Base + Bonus About the Company A growing, mid‑sized surveying and engineering firm in Middle Tennessee is looking to add a key leader to its team. The company has a strong backlog of work, a stable client base, and is actively investing in building out its internal survey/CAD capabilities. This hire will play a big role in shaping that growth. The Opportunity This is a hands‑on leadership role, not just production. You'll be responsible for leading CAD and survey operations while developing junior team members and setting the standard for quality and efficiency. Responsibilities Lead and manage CAD and survey technicians (entry to mid‑level) Train and develop junior staff into productive contributors Process drone/UAV data, topographic surveys, and surface models Oversee drafting for grading, utilities, and construction layouts Ensure quality control, accuracy, and project timelines Coordinate with field crews and project managers Establish workflows, standards, and best practices Troubleshoot issues and improve overall team efficiency What You Bring 3+ years of experience in surveying, CAD, or civil/site development Strong Civil 3D (AutoCAD) proficiency Experience with UAV/drone data (Pix4D, DroneDeploy, etc.) Background in training or mentoring others Understanding of grading, utilities, and construction layout Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Nice to Have Leadership or supervisory experience FAA Part 107 license Experience with GPS, robotic total stations, and field‑to‑finish workflows Strong communication and organizational skills What They're Looking For Someone who takes ownership of team performance A builder/mentor who actually enjoys developing people Calm, solution‑oriented mindset under pressure No ego; team‑first leadership approach Compensation & Benefits Base salary starting at $85K+ (flexible based on experience) Performance‑based bonus tied to team outputClear growth path as the company continues to expand Full benefits: 401k with match, health, dental, vision, PTO Support for training, certifications, and tools Location In‑office role | Middle Tennessee #J-18808-Ljbffr LVI Associates
