About us: BioTouch is a single-source, national provider for all mission-critical kitting and logistics needs. We partner with a wide range of medical facilities and healthcare providers to bring a higher level of care to the healthcare delivery.
We are seeking a mail sorter who is responsible for efficiently sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail within the hospital facility. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that important documents and communications reach their intended recipients in a timely manner. Responsibilities- Receive and Sort Mail
- Receive incoming mail and packages
- Sort mail based on department, floor, or individual
- Distribute Mail:
- Deliver sorted mail to designated departments, offices, and individuals.
- Ensure accurate and timely distribution of mail
- Process Outgoing Mail :
- Collect outgoing mail from various departments.
- Prepare outgoing mail for delivery by sorting, labeling, and packaging
- Follow Security and confidentiality protocols :
- Adhere to hospital protocols regarding the handling of sensitive and confidential information
- Maintain the security and privacy of mail and packages
- Communicate effectively with staff to resolve any mail-related issues
- Education - High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience- Previous experience in a mailroom or similar role is preferred
- Organization Skills - Stong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Communication Skills - Good communication skills to interact with hospital staff
- Physical Requirements - Must be able to walk, bend, reach, climb, and lift 25 pounds or more.
- Dependability - Reliable and punctual, with the ability to meet deadlines
