Job Title Director, Manufacturing Site Leader – OTTAVA Location Santa Clara, California, United States of America Purpose The Director, Ottava Manufacturing Site Leader provides strategic, operational, and technical leadership for one or more manufacturing plants in support of the OTTAVA Surgical Robotic Platform. This role is accountable for daily operations, long term planning, talent development, and driving transformational initiatives that elevate safety, quality, productivity, and scalability across the site. The role includes scaling production from pilot to stable high‑volume output while maintaining quality. This leader integrates strategic planning, change management, and deep technical expertise in capital equipment manufacturing to guide teams through evolving business needs and drive operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead all aspects of plant operations to meet quality, safety, output, and cost targets. Develop and execute site level strategic plans aligned with broader supply chain goals. Apply strong technical expertise in manufacturing of capital systems to guide problem solving and process improvements. Drive change management efforts to implement new technologies, processes, and organizational strategies. Standardize and optimize manufacturing processes to improve performance and scalability. Lead and develop managers and senior staff, fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to advance initiatives and strengthen organizational visibility. Manage budgets, compliance, workforce planning, and performance metrics across the site. Required Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field. 10+ years’ experience in technical manufacturing operations with at least 5+ years’ experience in a leadership position. Prior complex capital equipment manufacturing experience. Exceptional ability to build, lead and develop high‑performing teams in a fast‑paced, matrix environment. Strong strategic thinking, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills in a high‑stakes environment. Strategic change management evolving the org structure with volume growth. Proactive risk management (supplier capacity, quality, long lead inventory, technical risks) and navigating escalations. Culture building by modeling transparency, accountability, continuous improvement, and quality mindset. Preferred Experience with Medical Capital Equipment Manufacturing and regulatory compliance. Experience building, launching and relocating manufacturing lines and/or factories. Master’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Business or related field. Other May require up to 10% of domestic and/or international travel. The attendance policy required for this role is fully Onsite. Salary Base pay range: $172,000.00 to $261,978.50 Benefits Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company‑sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits: Vacation – 120 hours per calendar year; Sick time – 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – 56 hours per calendar year; Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – 13 days per calendar year; Work, Personal and Family Time – up to 40 hours per calendar year; Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child; Condolence Leave – 30 days for an immediate family member: 5 days for an extended family member; Caregiver Leave – 10 days; Volunteer Leave – 4 days; Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours.
