Phlebotomist IIPride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our client's healthcare facility in Austin TX 78731.Job Details: Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Saturdays 8-12, but only every other 4th Saturday rotation.Location: Austin TX 78731 Job Type: local contract Contract Length: 3 Months+ Pay Range: $20.12 - $23.40 per hourPay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.Responsibilities: Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc. Collects and stores specimens in accordance with established procedures. Properly explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required. Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. Fully understand all of the physicians' orders. Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order. Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% correctness. Package specimens for transport. Stores specimens at the required temperature and places them.Qualifications: A High School Diploma or GED is required.
