Of Counsel

Focused on employment and labor law since 1958, Jackson Lewis P.C. has over 1,000 attorneys nationwide. This position is for the role of Of Counsel Attorney for the firm’s DC office, working directly with the Litigation group to advise and defend employers in workplace matters. Duties and Responsibilities Demonstrate the ability to independently produce a quality work product. Defend agency charges of discrimination, lawsuits involving a broad range of employment‑related claims, and provide related advice and counseling. Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration in a broad range of employment matters, including discrimination, contract, employment tort, and non‑compete cases. Work as part of a team, especially on larger cases. Lead, supervise, and develop associate attorneys. Skills and Educational Requirements JD from an accredited law school. 8+ years of experience (preferred). Employment law experience (plus). VA Bar admission (preferred). Excellent attention to detail, including handling document‑intensive cases. Strong organizational and case‑management skills, with the ability to manage numerous cases simultaneously. Ability to work in a collaborative team and effectively utilize other professionals. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. For Virginia, the expected salary range for this position is between $235,000–$267,500. The position is eligible for annual bonuses, and actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
