Director Supply Chain Management

Eaton Corporation is looking for a Director Supply Chain Management. This position will be based in Syracuse, NYPosition Overview:Reporting to the President, Americas, Global Energy Infrastructure (GEIS) business and functionally to the Director SCM, GEIS Global, the Director will support a $1.6B business with 2,500 employees in NA. The Director of Supply Chain Management provides strategic and operational leadership over end-to-end supply chain activities, including planning, procurement, inventory, logistics, and supplier performance. The role ensures alignment between supply chain strategy and business objectives, driving service excellence, cost optimization, and working capital improvement.Essential Functions:Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with business and financial goalsLead demand and supply planning, inventory management, and network optimizationOversee procurement, supplier performance, and strategic sourcing initiativesManage logistics, distribution, and transportation strategyDrive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and productivity initiativesEstablish and monitor supply chain KPIs and performance dashboardsPartner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Sales, and EngineeringLead, develop, and mentor supply chain leaders and teamsDevelop a profit plan forecast for following year and drives achievement during current year - 24-month rolling, including a 5-year Strategic PlanDevelop and deploy regional SCM strategy along with commodity category leaders to deliver YOY cost reduction and meet profit plan commitments for the business.Frame global business opportunities and support growth of product families inside and outside of all relevant GEIS networksRequired Qualifications:Minimum of 10 years of progressive supply chain or operations experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior leadership or director-level roles.Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and planning processes.Proven ability to lead transformation and change initiatives.SIOP experience and success leading the processLegally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.Eaton Leadership Attributes:Effectively drives and manages change, challenges the status quo and champions new and innovative ideas.Demonstrates professional presence, communicates articulately and confidently.Effectively leverages functional and cross-functional resources to solve problems, improve processes and meet objectives.Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills.Demonstrated success in effectively and confidently providing “leadership” to employees in a constantly changing environment.Education:An undergraduate degree is required.
