Position:ED Primary/Cross Categorical Intervention Specialist Mild/Moderate Moderate/Intensive at Cherry Valley ElementaryRequested by: Chet Coleman Approved by: Barbara Quackenbush Qualifications/Requirements: Applicant must:possess a valid Ohio Education of the Handicapped license with SLD CD validation (candidates with multiple special education validations preferred) or Intervention Specialist: Mild Moderate/Moderate-Intensive demonstrate the ability to identify individual student needs demonstrate the ability to differentiate instructiondemonstrate the ability to efficiently use student data to determine individualneeds develop targeted learning plans and monitor ongoing progressdemonstrate the ability to serve students with a variety of handicapping conditions as well as at-risk students within an intervention or inclusion settingdemonstrate the ability to design and implement a variety of behavior management strategiesdemonstrate strong communication and organizational skillsdemonstrate the ability to collaborate with parents special and regular education staff students related service personnel and community agencies in the delivery of services to students with disabilitiesdemonstrate the ability to be objective and flexible to students with disabilities participate in department and district professional development opportunities relating to the education of students with disabilitiesbe acceptable to the Building Principal Director of Student Services and Assistant Superintendent of Certificated/Licensed PersonnelEffective Starting Date:2026-2027 School Year
