Job Opportunity Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) / Emergency Dept - Mids (1p) Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico Shift: 13:00-01:00, Mids Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: 07/06/2026 Job Description: The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care of the patient in the Emergency Department; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care. Responsibilities: Perform thorough assessments & communicate findings effectively Proficient in administering medications & monitoring side effects Strong organizational skills & attention to detail in documenting patient care Requirements: 2+ years of experience required ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, & ENPC required NRP preferred Knowledge of nursing process & clinical nursing practices Knowledge of safety standards, infection control & quality improvement initiatives
