Senior Director, Software Engineering Data & AI

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• We expect 15+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years building and leading large-scale, critical, and complex distributed data management systems.
• We look for formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 10+ years of applied experience.
• We need 5+ years of experience leading technologists to anticipate, manage, and resolve complex technical issues within a specialist domain.
• We seek experience developing or leading large or cross-functional teams of Data and AI technologists.
• We value demonstrated success influencing within highly matrixed, complex organizations and delivering impact at scale.
• We need experience leading multi-organization adoption of agentic AI-enabled engineering operating models using enterprise-authorized tools, including governance, quality gates, measurement frameworks, and secure handling of sensitive inputs and outputs.

• We look for a proven record of delivering complex trading or financial systems in a global banking environment.

• We establish portfolio-level standards for AI-orchestrated delivery workflows, release governance, automated test modernization, resilience engineering, and accelerated incident response.
• We put guardrails in place for validation, security, resiliency, traceability, and reuse.
• We apply knowledge of the software development life cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase cross-domain reuse and capacity.
• We enable existing or new data applications and related data models to be ready for consumption by AI agents.
• We provide leadership and high-level direction to teams across multiple platforms, divisions, and lines of business.
• We serve as the primary interface with senior leaders, stakeholders, and executives to build consensus across competing priorities.
• We manage multiple stakeholders, complex initiatives, and large cross-product collaborations.
• We influence peer leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams.
