Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. Demonstrates expertise in handling acute medical and surgical emergencies, ensuring patient safety and compliance with hospital protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient conditions upon arrival, delivering timely interventions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and diagnostic tests in accordance with physician orders.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to critical changes.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans.
• Educate patients and families on emergency procedures and post-discharge care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license and current license in the state of practice.
• Exhibit at least 2 years of recent ER nursing experience, including STEMI and Stroke care.
• Possess current BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC electronic health records and EKG interpretation.
• Be flexible to work 3x12 night shifts, with availability for holiday coverage and floating between campuses.
• Have experience caring for special populations such as cancer, sepsis, and behavioral health.
