The HVAC Mechanic is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role requires a skilled professional who can diagnose issues, perform necessary repairs, and ensure systems operate efficiently and effectively./ppResponsibilities:/pulliInstall and configure HVAC systems according to manufacturer specifications and local building codes./liliConnect ductwork, pipes, and electrical wiring as required./liliPerform routine inspections and maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance./liliClean or replace air filters, belts, and other components during maintenance visits./liliLubricate moving parts and perform other maintenance actions to ensure systems run efficiently./liliDiagnose and repair issues with HVAC systems, including troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems./liliReplace or repair defective components such as compressors, motors, and fans./liliAddress customer complaints and perform necessary repairs to resolve issues./liliConduct tests on HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning correctly post-repair or installation./liliUse specialized tools and equipment to measure system performance and identify areas for improvement./liliMaintain accurate records of services performed, including parts used and labor hours./liliDocument customer interactions and any issues encountered during service./liliProvide excellent customer service by explaining technical information in a clear and concise manner./liliAdvise customers on the best practices for maintaining their HVAC systems and improving energy efficiency./li/ulpQualifications: Required:/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in HVAC is preferred./liliEPA certification for handling refrigerants./liliJourneyman or Master HVAC certification (where applicable)./liliMinimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC Mechanic./liliProven experience with both industrial and commercial HVAC systems./liliStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair./liliProficiency in using hand and power tools./liliAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals./liliExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail./liliStrong communication and customer service skills./liliAbility to lift heavy objects and work in various environments, including confined spaces./liliMust be able to climb ladders and work at heights if necessary./liliProficiency with Microsoft Office products; Outlook, Word, Excel./liliPhysical abilities include the use of arms, hands, and fingers to operate tools and various equipment.
