Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM to 430PM with 1 day remote after 6 months

The Order Management Specialist manages assigned customer accounts while overseeing the full order lifecycle from quote through delivery. This role builds strong customer relationships, anticipates needs, identifies risks and opportunities, and partners with Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure excellent service and operational execution.

What You'll Do:

• Own assigned customer accounts and serve as the primary day-to-day contact for purchasing needs.
• Build strong relationships with purchasing agents and buyers through consistent, proactive communication.
• Manage the complete purchase order lifecycle from receipt through shipment and invoicing, ensuring accuracy of pricing, quantities, ship dates, and logistics.
• Maintain accurate order information within ERP/CRM systems and monitor backorders, changes, and delivery timelines.
• Manage inventory allocation based on priority, availability, and customer needs, making adjustments as timelines or requirements change.
• Partner with Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to align material availability, inventory, and customer demand.
• Monitor supply, stock levels, lead times, and logistics to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact customers.
• Support Sales by ensuring orders are executed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
• Anticipate customer needs, proactively communicate updates, and help prevent service issues before they arise.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, communication, and the overall customer experience.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• Experience in customer success, account management, inside sales, customer service, or order management in a B2B environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with ERP and CRM systems.
• Strong communication, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities with strong attention to detail.
• Proactive, customer-focused, and solution-oriented approach.
