The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery service line at our organization is on the lookout for a skilled Full-time Intensivist to become part of our team within the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

South Shore University Hospital serves as the easternmost tertiary care facility on Long Island, situated 30 miles east of New York City. This rapidly expanding 305-bed hospital has plans to potentially increase its capacity to over 400 beds. The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery ICU consists of 10 beds, along with an additional 4 Stepdown beds. Annually, this service line conducts around 600 cardiac surgeries, encompassing open procedures, transcatheter therapies, ECMO, and LV support for high-risk PCI cases.

Qualified candidates must have completed a fellowship and hold Board Certification in Critical Care or Thoracic Surgery. Acceptable primary board certifications may include Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, or General Surgery. We are also open to considering candidates who have recently completed their sub-specialty training, provided they have relevant CTICU experience during their fellowship. Compensation: Full-time clinical base salaries at our organization range from $125K to $750K, influenced by various factors such as specialty, experience level, quality of care, academic achievements, patient satisfaction, and productivity. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate of potential base compensation at the time of this job posting and may be subject to change in the future.
