Job Title

Travel RN – Step-Down / Intermediate Care Unit (SCU/IMC) – Nights

Location

Damariscotta, Maine

Schedule / Job Type

Contract – Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | 36 Hours per Week | Projected Start: August 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Step-Down / Intermediate Care Unit (SCU/IMC) setting with patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 4:1
• Manage and monitor patients requiring vasoactive drips and mechanical ventilator support
• Operate and maintain unit equipment including ventilators, ceiling lifts, plumb pumps, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and SCD boots
• Document all patient care activities accurately using the EPIC electronic medical records system
• Participate in every-other-weekend rotation as part of the standard scheduling requirement
• Float occasionally to the Medical-Surgical unit as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience; 5 or more years with prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience with vasoactive drips and mechanical ventilators
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and meet weekend scheduling requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an ICU or SCU/IMC environment
• Familiarity with a diverse patient population including SCU, IMC, and Medical-Surgical patients
• Previous travel nursing assignments
