You'll also perform direct patient care responsibilities, including obtaining vital signs, administering injections, completing EKGs, and assisting with preventative care and annual wellness visits. The LPN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The LPN delegates nursing tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. This position serves as a resource for other associates. May communicate instructions, do minor scheduling, and inspect work. Does not hire, fire, discipline, promote, demote, transfer, or appraise, but may be consulted by higher management in these areas. This job has no supervisory responsibilities.Responsibilities And Duties:Performs initial, ongoing and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and/or individual. Collects and documents initial and ongoing subjective and objective data from patients, significant others, and communities.Based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems, documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs including: age, size, and development stage.Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriately determined intervals; as part of a multidisciplinary team, revises plan of care based on evaluative data.Delegates tasks in accordance with specific criteria and state statutes. Reviews work performed by those to whom it is delegated.Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.Minimum Qualifications:High School or GED (Required)BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - National Council of State Boards of NursingSpecialized Knowledge:Must hold a current license from the State of Ohio. successfully completed Ohio Board of Nursing approved medication course.
