Community Education Lead Building Supervisor Starting Date: Immediately Job Description Job summary: To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence, courage and competence to achieve their dreams, contribute to community, and engage in a lifelong learning by performing work associated with the care and maintenance of the district buildings and grounds. Responsibilities and tasks include: Review facility permits and determine authorized users and event schedules; set up any special equipment or supplies requested by permitted users. Schedule Building Supervisors to be on site during scheduled activities. Accommodate users who are without permits and notify Community Education Facilities Scheduling of contact and event information. Problem‑solve permit and user issues. Complete and submit required reports (e.g., no‑shows) to Community Education Facilities Scheduling. Provide excellent customer service to organizations using the facilities by greeting guests and providing directions, monitoring activities, accommodating special requests, responding promptly to requests from colleagues and community members, communicating to diffuse confrontations, and being available for event planning at the location site as needed. Maintain safety and security of individuals and facilities by controlling access as authorized by permit, ensuring all facility users have left the premises after scheduled events, assisting with tear‑down and restoration of facilities, responding to emergencies (including calling 911 if necessary), reacting to minor Blood Borne clean‑ups, promptly completing and submitting incident reports, and notifying custodians of unsafe conditions or questionable activities. Provide lead direction to building supervisors by reviewing permits, scheduling assignments, resolving scheduling conflicts, monitoring supervisor activities, providing technical assistance, and giving performance feedback to the Community Education Program Manager. Perform other comparable duties as assigned. Knowledge, skills, & abilities include: Knowledge of the mission, core values, and strategies of Osseo Area Schools. Successful completion of District Blood Borne Pathogen training. Experience working with adults and children in an employment or volunteer setting. Preferred qualifications include: Work experience in a commercial groundskeeping operation.
