HIGH-YIELD MED SURG RN CONTRACT – 48-HOUR NIGHTS WITH AUTO-OFFER TRACK

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel opening for a highly versatile Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) Registered Nurse (RN) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Located on an active 32-bed acute care unit, this position is optimized as a high-earning 48-hour weekly routine. PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

• Weekly Gross: $2,290.00
• Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,250.00
• Hourly W2 Rate: $20.00/hr
• Overtime Rate: $30.00/hr

SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

• Schedule: Night shifts, 4x12-Hours (18:30 PM - 07:00 AM). Self-scheduling format active for 4-week blocks.
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours plus 8 overtime hours scheduled weekly.
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: Tracked firmly at a stable 1:6 ratio across days, nights, and weekends.
• Weekend Coverage: Required to complete exactly 6 weekend shifts within any 6-week scheduling block. No mandatory call requirements are tied to this role!
• EMR Charting System: Epic.
• Clinical Scope & Unit Ecosystem: General medical and surgical overflow management for adult and geriatric populations. Comprehensive floor support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and a dedicated Unit Secretary.
• Core Competencies: High comfort handling IV therapy, blood product administrations, central line blood draws, PICC line management, peripheral line care, wound care/wound vacs, surgical drains, and pre/post hemodialysis management for renal failure lines. Managing Heparin, Insulin, and PCA protocols is required.

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience as a Med Surg RN. (First-time travelers require 24 total months of core nursing practice to qualify).
• Licensure: Active New Mexico State nursing license or valid Multi-State Compact RN license. (Pending NM/Compact licenses are accepted for submission, but must be active prior to day one).
• Certifications Required: Active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) is required at submission. Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) and NIHSS certifications are highly preferred.

Strict 50-Mile Geographical Local Radius Rule: A rigid 50-mile local radius policy applies to this regional network. Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility campus center are not accepted under these system travel parameters. Furthermore, returning staff must wait a minimum of 1 full year before returning on a travel contract. Cross-Campus Floating Expectations: Clinicians will be expected to float seamlessly to like units based on facility census needs across the immediate scope. This includes floating options to the specialized Heart Hospital of New Mexico, which operates as part of the main Lovelace Medical Center facility location. Brief unit orientation is always provided. Urgent 48-Hour Post-Offer Lab Window: Once a contract confirmation is officially signed, the traveler is required to complete all occupational health lab processing and drug screening within 48 business hours. Any potential compliance delays must be flagged directly at the time of submission. ️ Upfront Requested Time Off (RTO) Limits: All desired RTO must be disclosed explicitly at the exact moment of submission. A maximum of 4 days of RTO can be auto-approved under current system tier guidelines. Hard Submission Vetting Checklist: To clear automated compliance filters, submittals must contain your full RTO, verified license status, and complete copies of active certifications (BLS, and CPI if applicable).
