We are looking for a dependable Class A/B CDL driver to join our team in Monticello, IA. Drivers will operate roll-off trucks, lugger trucks, and car haulers while assisting with local hauling and recycling operations.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, takes pride in safe driving, and works well independently. We offer flexible opportunities for either part-time or full-time employment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A or B tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary.
• Transport a variety of cargo including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and freight requiring specialized handling.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company standards.
• Plan optimal routes for timely deliveries while managing route driving schedules effectively.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered during routes.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery receipts to ensure compliance with federal regulations.

Experience

• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid Class A or B commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Hands-on experience operating manual transmission trucks and handling various types of freight loads such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks.
• Familiarity with load & unload procedures and the use of equipment like forklifts when necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to follow detailed route instructions and adhere to safety protocols consistently.
• Prior delivery driver experience preferred but not mandatory; we value motivated individuals eager to learn new skills.
