SECURITY SHIFT SUPERVISOR-SECURITY -SS (FULL-TIME/VARIES)

Security Shift Supervisor

Responsible for ensuring the safety of all guests and associates of Pearl River Resort and protect the assets of the Resort through proper supervision of his or her assigned shift.

Adhere to any and all company departmental policies, practices and procedures.

Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.

Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.

Ensure adherence to, standard operating procedures (SOP's) and policies and procedures.

Assists in the supervision of Security Officers on assigned shift to provide safety and security of guests, associates and property.

Assign and supervise assigned associates at various locations according to job requirements and worker's ability, skills and experience.

Maintains adequate staffing levels, by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, promoting and disciplining Associates, as needed.

Patrols the property on assigned shift, identifying potential security and/or safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate individual, to ensure the safety and protection of customers, Associates and the entire facility.

Oversee and maintain sensitive keys.

Prepares and requests reports on incidents involving customers, Associates and/or the facility, as needed.

Ability to assume command in the absence of senior management.

Guards all transfers of monies and chips on the casino floor, as well as the physical transportation of hopper fills, chip fills and credits.

Interacts with customers and Associates in a positive, professional manner.

Ensures a maximum level of customer service and satisfaction throughout the property is achieved and maintained.

Facilitates the flow of information, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.

Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.

Promotes a maximum level of customer service and satisfaction in the department.

Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

Perform duties of EMT as needed.

Maintain license as required by the National Registers.

Directly supervises the daily activities of assigned Security Associates on assigned shift.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

21 years of age or above

Gaming property – Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.

High School diploma or GED is required. Six (6) years' experience in casino security, law enforcement, corrections, industrial or private security is required. Prior supervisory experience is required.

Must possess a valid Driver's License and good driving record – two or less moving violations within a 12 month period. Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Must complete Incident Management System course within one (1) year of employment. May not be convicted or arrested of any criminal offense.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other associates of the organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Safely lift and/or move up to eighty (80) pounds on occasions as well stand and walk for 100% of assigned shift. Repetitive bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling will be required throughout shift. Must successfully complete PPCT (Pressure Point Control Techniques), Conflict Resolution Training, and any training offered by the Security Department. Must be willing to be involved in volatile situations.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke.

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
