Complex Adult Health – Critical Care Part‑Time Clinical Nursing Faculty Part‑time Department: Faculty Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks a Part‑Time Clinical Nursing Faculty to teach our Online BSN Nursing program in Troy, MI. You will mentor students in person at an inpatient clinical setting located in the Troy area, making connections between classroom learning, simulations, and real‑world patient care to ensure students are prepared and confident to provide high‑quality care. Scheduling Schedule is determined based on course need and the clinical specialty for each 8‑week session. Typically, clinical instructors are scheduled for 3–4 consecutive 12‑hour shifts, which occur over a period of 1–2 weeks each session. Additional dates may not be available, and clinical dates are not guaranteed for every session. Complex Adult Health – Critical Care Students will demonstrate nursing skills and procedures in an inpatient healthcare center, focusing on adults with unstable emergent critical illnesses. Students integrate nursing, technology and scientific knowledge with clinical judgment to optimize health for a diverse patient population. Responsibilities Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system, and profession. Assume responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching loads. Plan clinical experiences, provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering care. Be available to staff at the agencies. Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students on performance based on course objectives. Provide remediation of students as required. Orient and maintain current knowledge related to agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations. Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with students' knowledge base, skill competency and individual learning needs. Correct and return homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork and other written work in a timely manner. Contribute to the ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of the programs and the College. May teach didactic course content under supervision of course coordinator. Keep course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues and concerns. Work with college administration, staff and other faculty members to improve the overall operation of the College and student satisfaction rates. Participate in the implementation of the College Assessment Program, campus retention efforts, and departmental and campus policies. Serve as a professional role model for other faculty, staff, and students in customer service, collaboration, communication, excellence, dress, attendance, and general professionalism. Utilize relationship skills in situations requiring group problem solving, consensus building, and win‑win negotiation. Comply with all applicable regulatory rules and standards. Report to the dean or assistant dean; a course coordinator will also provide direct oversight. Handle related duties as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all policies and standards. Qualifications A master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university. An unencumbered professional RN nursing license in Michigan. Active BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network). At least two years professional experience within the last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse. Compensation In support of pay transparency laws, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $560 per assignment to $7,245 per assignment, depending on the credit hour assigned to the course. Actual pay may be adjusted based on job‑related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
