About the Position

Telemetry Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, COVID Vaccine Required Must-Have: Required certifications must be valid Description: Unit comprises a total of 58 beds, divided into two sections. Ratios are 1 nurse to 4 patients. Charting system used is Cerner. Nurse's responsibilities include reading strips and managing specific drips. Common diagnoses include surgical, orthopedic, medical patients, as well as cardiac-focused care. Patients may be post-catheterization, post-pacemaker, and post-PCI. There is a need for floating between sections of the unit. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7. Pharmacy services are available during standard hours, with an alternate option for after-hours needs. Nurse aides are present during various shifts to support care. Weekend and holiday shifts are required as part of the rotation. No charge nurse role on the unit. Vents are not available, but bipap and cpap may be utilized. Clientist or intensivist available on call after hours for additional support.
