Job Title: Mammography Technologist Profession: Technologist Specialty: Mammography Duration: Not specified Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: One year previous experience in Mammography required License: Current state license required Certifications: - Current certification in Radiography and Mammography modalities required - American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) required - Image Wisely pledge certificate or must obtain within 30 days of hire date and annually by January 30 thereafter preferred - Image Gently pledge certificate or must obtain within 30 days of hire date and annually by January 30 thereafter preferred - Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred Description: Performs a variety of Mammography exams for patients. Applies principles, theories, and techniques of Mammography imaging to provide reliable imaging results. Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position. Demonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipment. Exhibits the ability to deal effectively with the public. Exhibits the ability to maintain confidentiality, think, and act independently with minimal supervision. Maintains regular, consistent, and punctual attendance at the assigned job location. Experience in stereo biopsy preferred.
