As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a meaningful role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring our community has access to the medications they need.

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8AM-5:30PM) | Saturday (8AM-4:30PM)

Location: Aurum Wellness Missouri - 3021 Texas Parkway Ste. 100 Missouri City, TX 77489

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in verifying medication doses and entering patient information.
• Ensure patients receive the correct medication using proper dispensing procedures.
• Maintain an adequate stock of medications and supplies while adhering to safety precautions.
• Reorganize priorities based on workload to ensure timely service delivery.
• Process insurance adjudication and pre-authorizations promptly.
• Complete and document daily and monthly checklists, including expired drug checks and cleaning.
• Offer and document patient counseling time.
• Communicate effectively with physicians' offices and insurance companies as needed.
• Conduct weekly controlled substance cycle counts and document findings.
• Participate in the education and training of new and existing pharmacy employees.
• Provide positive customer service, maintaining respect and courtesy in all interactions.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and report unresolved issues to the Pharmacy Manager.
• Track non-stock requests and recommend par adjustments.
• Support 340b program inventory integrity and maintain prescription files.
• Reconcile prescription fills against billing and perform money collection procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a current Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certificate.
• Must be registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• Must be able to pass a math test pertinent to retail pharmacy activities.
• Must maintain BLS/CPR.
• Must maintain required certifications.
• Must have two (2) years healthcare experience.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 1+ years community pharmacy preferred.
• 1+ years pharmacy logistics preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, community, and the general public.
• Demonstrate project management skills and understanding of 340b regulations, inventory management, and managing a cash register.
• Ability to remain calm under stressful conditions. Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize.
• Computer experience Windows, Excel, and Accounting software.
• Bilingual preferred.
