This Level 1 Trauma Hospital located in the Bronx, NY provides a broad range of inpatient clinical services and supports a comprehensive interventional radiology program. The facility maintains established protocols and the infrastructure necessary to accommodate locum tenens clinicians delivering on-site interventional radiology coverage. Clinical operations are supported by residents, fellows, and other physicians.
About the Facility LocationThe Bronx is a borough recognized as the birthplace of hip-hop and salsa, and is home to landmarks such as Yankee Stadium, the Bronx Zoo, and the New York Botanical Garden. About the Clinician's WorkdayClinicians will provide 100% on-site inpatient interventional radiology coverage during day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on a 7 on 7 off schedule, with weeknight call at a 1:3 ratio from 4:00 PM to 8:00 AM and weekend call responsibilities. Procedural responsibilities include minimally invasive, image-guided procedures utilizing fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and MRI, as well as pre- and post-procedure consults and emergency IR procedures as needed. An expected volume of 8-10 procedures per day is anticipated, and clinical documentation is managed through Epic EMR. Board certification is required for this assignment.
