Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification
• Previous classroom experience in special education across various grade levels
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and implementation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with parents, students, and interdisciplinary teams
• Patience, adaptability, and creativity in developing tailored instructional approaches
• Ability to foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, modify, and deliver individualized instruction based on each student’s IEP and learning goals
• Assess and document students’ progress, communicating regularly with families and other team members
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and differentiation in the classroom
• Utilize a range of strategies and technologies to engage students and support their social, emotional, and academic growth
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training to stay current with best practices
• Advocate for the needs and potential of each learner
