Occupational Therapist

Role Overview: The Occupational Therapist provides age-appropriate rehabilitative care, addressing physical, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients in their homes. They collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and revise individualized care plans, ensuring all goals are met. Key Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care through assessments, therapeutic exercises, education, and treatments, managing patient needs from admission to discharge. Develop, coordinate, and revise care plans in alignment with physician orders, ensuring seamless service delivery. Educate patients and caregivers to promote independence and support recovery, utilizing verbal and written communication tools. Participate in staff training, continuing education, and in-service activities to maintain current clinical knowledge. Accurately document interventions, communicate patient status changes to physicians, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist and BLS certification; additional certifications such as BLS-Instructor, BLS-Provisional, Georgia Driver's License, and private vehicle insurance required. Minimum of 1 year full-time occupational therapy experience; home health experience preferred. Strong assessment, rehabilitative, leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
