Job Description UW Medical Center‑Montlake – Urology Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Nurse Manager . This is a supervisory position reporting to the Clinic Manager. Work Schedule Full time / 40 hours per week Day shifts between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm; the exact start times may vary by day Must be available to work Monday‑Friday Clinic is closed on nights, weekends, and holidays Department Description The Urology Clinic at UW Medical Center‑Montlake diagnoses and treats patients with urologic cancer and general urology conditions. The clinic hosts the Bladder Cancer Multispecialty Clinic and the Prostate Cancer Multispecialty Clinic. UW Medical Center‑Montlake Urology was recently recognized as a UW Medicine Patient Experience Top Performer for Medical Practice. Position Highlights Supervise a dynamic ambulatory team Work closely with the Clinic Manager to facilitate daily operations and projects Foster a positive work environment and promote staff development Primary Job Responsibilities Establish credibility as the leader of day‑to‑day clinic operations Identify staff and resource problems and take necessary steps toward resolution Provide feedback to the Clinic Manager for annual performance evaluations Schedule staff work hours Resolve unplanned absences, following Ambulatory Services Resource Pool Protocols Develop, coordinate, and maintain work processes to ensure the clinic runs successfully Establish and maintain safety and emergency protocols for the clinic Interview Registered Nurses and Medical Assistants Manage orientation and educational programs for newly‑hired staff Promote effective communication among staff and patients Perform general clinic RN responsibilities (Epic InBasket triage, telephone triage, care coordination) Requirements 2 years of recent oncology, urology, medical‑surgical, or ambulatory nursing experience Previous charge, lead, or supervisory nursing experience BLS certification Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State Compensation & Benefits Pay Range Minimum: $49.23 hourly Pay Range Maximum: $90.33 hourly Other Compensation: BSN (or higher) premium - $1.00/hour; Certification premium - $1.25/hour; Overtime pay Benefits: For information about benefits for this position, visit Equal Employment Opportunity Statement The University of Washington is an affirmative action and equal opportunity employer.
