Principal Data Strategist

Owning the data architecture and KPI methodology for strategic assessments, the full-time remote Principal Data Strategist will transform government permitting, licensing, and inspection data into actionable insights while advising senior public-sector stakeholders and driving innovative data strategies. Key responsibilities Own data models, extraction logic, and KPI methodology for strategic assessments, ensuring accuracy and repeatability Mature KPI Insights into a scalable offering with reusable dashboards and a robust data foundation Advise government executives on data findings, translating them into business impacts and strategic recommendations Required qualifications 10+ years of experience architecting enterprise data ecosystems, including data warehousing and complex migrations Proven delivery in the government/public sector, particularly with statewide licensing and permitting platforms Strong background in Salesforce and public sector solutions, including multi-system consolidations Fluency in cloud data technologies such as Snowflake, AWS, and Azure Ability to advise C-suite stakeholders on strategy, capacity, and risk with executive presence
