HVAC Technician Company: Tom Schaefer Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Location: Willoughby, OH Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $30-$40/hr About the Role Tom Schaefer Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our team in Willoughby, OH. This position is intended for a seasoned professional who can independently diagnose, repair, and install HVAC systems while representing the company at the highest technical and customer-service level. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair residential & light commercial HVAC systems Install furnaces, AC units, heat pumps, and related equipment Troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant, and airflow issues Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding system conditions, options, and recommendations Complete work orders, invoices, and documentation accurately and on time Maintain a clean, safe, and professional job site Follow all safety standards, company procedures, and local/state codes Required Qualifications 5+ years of HVAC experience required Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills EPA Certification (required) Valid driver’s license Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong communication, professionalism, and customer service skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with both residential and commercial systems Leadership, mentoring, or lead technician experience Familiarity with flat-rate pricing models and service management software What We Offer Top-tier pay equivalent with senior-level experience Company vehicle and fuel (where applicable) Paid time off and paid holidays Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Stable, year-round workload Supportive operations team and organized dispatching #J-18808-Ljbffr
