The work schedule is typically from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the potential for occasional evening shifts to accommodate client needs. Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments, using structured interviews and standardized tools to evaluate psychological well-being and treatment needs. \n
- Design and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings, continuously adjusting approaches as necessary to meet patient objectives. \n
- Employ evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy, to facilitate effective healing. \n
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, fostering an environment conducive to emotional expression, personal growth, and enhanced coping skills. \n
- Collaborate with colleagues in psychiatry and primary care to create an integrated treatment approach that addresses the holistic needs of each patient. \n
- Assist with crisis intervention, providing immediate support to patients in distress during mental health emergencies. \n
- Educate patients and their families on mental health disorders, treatment options, and community resources that support recovery and resilience. \n
- Maintain precise and confidential patient records in accordance with ethical guidelines and legal requirements. \n
- Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to enhance service delivery and clinical skills. \n
- Stay informed about current research trends, regulatory updates, and innovative practices within the field of mental health therapy. \n
As a Mental Health Counseling Specialist at Happy Cures, you will work primarily with a diverse client population, including adults dealing with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma histories, and relationship issues. Our clinic caters to individuals from various backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses, emphasizing an approach that is both trauma-informed and culturally sensitive. Your role will empower clients by promoting their autonomy and providing tailored support to facilitate their recovery journeys.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). \n
- Strong foundational knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment methods, and best practices in patient care. \n
- Demonstrated proficiency in conducting comprehensive assessments, formulating diagnoses, and developing individualized treatment strategies. \n
- Experience in individual and group therapeutic settings with a variety of clinical techniques. \n
- Exceptional crisis intervention capabilities and the ability to maintain composure when managing high-stress situations. \n
- Strong communicative and interpersonal skills, essential for building trusting therapeutic relationships with diverse clients. \n
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant technological applications used in clinical practice. \n

- A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred. \n
