Job Title

Travel RN – Emergency Room

Location

Richlands, VA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12 Weeks | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every other weekend required | No call requirements | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and identify patient needs in a fast-paced emergency department setting
• Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions based on patient condition and age
• Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient, including geriatric, adult, pediatric, and OB populations
• Perform timely and accurate documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record (MediTech EHR)
• Operate department equipment including EKG, Ultrasound, LUCAS, EZ-IO, Omnicell, and Medtronic devices
• May be pulled to provide 1:1 patient sitting coverage as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Virginia
• Minimum Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• TNCC certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing a broad range of acute diagnoses and treatments in an emergency department setting
• Familiarity with MediTech EHR
• Experience working with a diverse patient population including geriatric, adult, pediatric, and OB patients
