Payroll/Accounting Specialist Location: Buena Park/Anahiem, CA Pay Rate: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite | Contract to Hire Required: ADP Workforce Now (WFN) experience Responsibilities Process bi-weekly payroll 250-400 employees using ADP Workforce Now (WFN). Maintain accurate employee payroll records, ensuring all new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, and deductions are entered correctly. Review payroll registers, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure payroll is processed accurately and on schedule. Administer garnishments, benefits deductions, taxes, and other payroll withholdings while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Assist with payroll tax reporting, quarterly reconciliations, year-end processing, and audit requests. Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve payroll-related issues promptly and professionally. Partner with Human Resources regarding employee status changes, leave of absences, benefit updates, and payroll adjustments. Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders and receiving documents, and prepare invoices for payment. Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and communicate with vendors to resolve payment issues. Assist with weekly check runs, ACH payments, and maintaining accurate accounts payable records. Support month-end close by preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and maintaining organized financial documentation. Assist with other accounting and administrative projects as needed. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience. Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN) is required. Experience processing payroll for both exempt and non-exempt employees. Prior accounts payable and general accounting experience is strongly preferred. Understanding of payroll regulations, tax reporting, and compliance requirements. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Manufacturing industry experience is a plus. Ability to handle confidential employee and financial information with discretion.
