We are all employee-owners at HDR, which is the foundation of our collaborative culture that connects employees around the world.In the role of Aviation Civil Engineer, we'll count on you to:Primary ResponsibilitiesClients begin to identify you as a resource for aviation related tasksTechnical DevelopmentSuggest solutions to client problems by being able to interpret FAA and USACOE etc. guidance; begin to suggest alternative study or documentation methodologiesPrepare approaches, scopes of work, fee estimates for small projectsTechnical Talent Identification & Career JourneySeek leadership role in external professional aviation related organization (e.g., elected office, organizing or planning committees, panel presentations)Process & Tool Application & DevelopmentThorough understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D (or similar design software), AVI-Plan software packages and Infraworks modeling software (or similar design software)Implement QMP procedures on performed tasksWith direction, develop/prepare project design report and begin to coordinate with applicable agencies (FAA, EPA and local) as well as with clientsLead analyses/design for specific component of a projectLead field reviews to determine construction compliance with contract documents.Marketing SupportMaintain an updated resumeAssist with technical write ups of completed projects Perform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications Active participation in professional organizations (i.e. AAAE, ACC, ASCE, etc.).Keywords: Aviation Civil Engineer, Aviation Engineer, Airfield Engineer, Airport Civil Engineer, Aviation Infrastructure Engineer, Airfield Planning, Airfield Design, Airport Design, Runway Design, Taxiway Design, Apron Design, Pavement Design (Airfields), Airport Infrastructure, FAA Airport Design Standards, Airfield Geometry#LI-EH1QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in EngineeringRequires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
