Broadbent & Associates, Inc. of Columbia, Missouri is looking to hire an organized full‑time Project Geologist / Project Environmental Scientist to oversee a wide variety of complex, environmental projects in Missouri. Responsibilities Prepare and review work plans, technical documents, and reports for federal, state, and local agencies. Prepare and review new client proposals for federal, state, and private industry. Develop the scope of environmental assessment and remediation projects, manage budgets. Conduct regular field visits to enforce project execution and technical and safety procedures. Review and approve vendor work proposals and invoices. Write project reports, analyze and interpret data, and prepare final reports for senior and client review. Your people skills are essential as you regularly interact with clientele and regulatory agencies. Your role includes administrative responsibilities to ensure clients are satisfied and jobs are delivered on time, within scope and budget. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, earth or environmental science. Professional Geologist (PG) certification or willingness to obtain in 6-12 months (will pay for study and testing materials). Three or more years of experience in geological assessments, water supply, water treatment, environmental assessments, contaminant investigation, contaminant remediation, storm water management, wastewater treatment, permitting projects, or compliance projects in the public and private sectors. Consulting experience. Strong working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations and experience interacting with governmental regulatory agencies. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deliverable timelines. Ability to travel within the central US. Work Schedule and Location This full‑time project management position typically works Monday‑Friday with some traveling, overnight, and weekend work.
