Job Title: Litigation or Trusts and Estate Attorney Shift: M-F 9:00am-5:00pm Salary: $120,000-$160,000 dependent on experience Overview: Premier Bergen County law firm for over 30 Years seeks a qualified Litigation Attorney. Responsibilities Conduct legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing the discovery process, taking depositions and negotiating settlements. Manages a client's wealth transfer, handles probate and disputes, and protects incapacitated individuals. Ensure plans comply with state/federal laws and reflect client goals. Identify, collect, and value assets (real estate, financial accounts, personal property). Distribute remaining assets to beneficiaries according to the will or state intestacy laws. Represent clients in contested matters, including will challenges, trust contests, and fiduciary disputes. Provide ongoing legal representation for annual accounting or disputes regarding guardianship. Keeping detailed records of estate assets and actions taken. Requirements At least 2+ years of Litigation experience Admitted and in good standing to practice in New Jersey State Ability to prioritize workload and handle sensitive information.
