Purpose of the Position: This position will ensure the cleanliness of assigned areas by performing various housekeeping tasks. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Related to Position: Required: Knowledge of cleaning methods and cleaning supplies Ability to follow oral and written instructions Ability to communicate effectively and to maintain positive relations with faculty, staff and students Ability to work from 5 am – 2 pm, Monday – Friday Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required : Education: High school graduate or equivalent education/experience that equates to a high school diploma Valid driver’s license Experience Experience in cleaning methods and cleaning supplies Experience using a vacuum cleaner, buffer, and scrubbing machine Additional Consideration(s): Experience: Experience working at a university Salary Information: Salary $32,292 to $40,365, Commensurate with Education and Experience CNU Information: This position includes Commonwealth of Virginia and Christopher Newport University employee benefits.
