Teacher - Middle School Science

Summary
Endeavour K-8 is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Secondary Science Teacher. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore the wonders of science, fostering a love for learning and critical thinking. This full-time position offers the opportunity to teach a diverse student body, develop engaging lesson plans, and contribute to a collaborative educational environment.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards and promote student engagement.
- Teach various science subjects, including but not limited to biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to design interdisciplinary projects and curriculum enhancements.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices.
- Supervise and mentor students during laboratory activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Contribute to the school community through involvement in extracurricular activities, committees, and events.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification in Secondary Science. DX, DI, DE or DP with an additional endorsement preferred.
- Proven experience teaching science at the secondary level, preferably in a diverse educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of science curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital resources to enhance learning.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive school culture.
