Setting: Outpatient Orthopedic / Physician-Affiliated Practice

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 11:00 AM-7:00 PM + Saturday, 7:00 AM-12:00 PM | 40 hours per week

Compensation: Based on experience

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join an expanding outpatient healthcare team serving patients in Hamilton and Lawrenceville, New Jersey.

The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized plans of care, and provide skilled physical therapy interventions to restore function, improve mobility, and reduce pain.

Candidates who can travel between both locations are preferred, although some flexibility is available.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform initial evaluations and re-evaluations, establish diagnoses and prognoses, and develop individualized plans of care with measurable, functional goals.
• Provide skilled interventions, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, modalities, and gait and functional training.
• Delegate and supervise care provided by PTAs and supportive personnel in accordance with New Jersey regulations, while maintaining responsibility for the plan of care.
• Identify clinical red flags and communicate concerns to referring physicians or emergency services as needed.
• Coordinate with physicians, surgeons, and other providers on progress, pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, and discharge recommendations.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation, co-sign PTA notes as required, and comply with HIPAA, payer, and Medicare requirements.

Qualifications

Required

• DPT or equivalent entry-level degree from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• Active, unrestricted New Jersey PT license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to meet New Jersey continuing competency requirements.
• Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills.

Preferred

• Outpatient orthopedic experience, including spine, shoulder, knee, hip, and post-surgical conditions.
• Experience in a physician-affiliated outpatient setting.
• Familiarity with EHR documentation and outpatient billing.

New graduates may be considered with appropriate mentorship.
