Assistant Technician

The Assistant Technician supports the installation, service, and maintenance of low-voltage systems, including access control, CCTV, fire alarm, and structured cabling. This role works alongside experienced technicians while developing technical skills and industry knowledge. Skills And Responsibilities Assist with the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of low-voltage systems. Install and support structured cabling infrastructure. Complete site surveys and assist with project documentation. Organize and track project materials, tools, and equipment. Travel to customer and project sites as needed. Participate in the on-call rotation as required. Continuously develop knowledge of access control, CCTV, fire alarm, and related systems. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Experience with structured cabling or low-voltage systems preferred. Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and follow written instructions and project documentation. Valid Driver's License required. Willingness to learn and grow within the low-voltage industry. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work on ladders and elevated surfaces. Frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, and use of power tools. Ability to work in both new construction and occupied building environments.
