Class A CDL Local Driver

Join a dedicated CDL-A fleet that offers daily home time, consistent local freight, and excellent paid time off benefits. This local intermodal position is ideal for drivers looking for predictable work, modern equipment, and the stability of a year-round operation serving customers throughout the region.

Drivers on this account haul containers in and out of the local rail ramp, making pickups and deliveries within a 250-mile radius. All freight originates or terminates locally, allowing drivers to stay close to home while enjoying steady freight volumes and consistent schedules. This is a 24/7 operation with shared equipment, making reliability and professionalism essential.

PTO Schedule

0-1 Year: 12 PTO days + 6 holidays
1-5 Years: 16 PTO days + 6 holidays
6-13 Years: 21 PTO days + 6 holidays
14-18 Years: 24 PTO days + 6 holidays
19+ Years: 26 PTO days + 6 holidays

Job Details

Home daily
Local intermodal container operation
Container pickups and deliveries within a 250-mile radius
Freight originates or terminates locally
No New York City deliveries
Dedicated local freight
Consistent year-round work

Equipment

Day cab tractors
Shared equipment operation
Modern, well-maintained fleet
Trucks must remain at the terminal during time off
No riders permitted

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 3 months of Class A CDL driving experience
Reliable transportation to and from work
Strong safety record
Professional and dependable work ethic
Rail yard experience preferred
Must be willing to wear required uniforms

Special Requirements

24/7 operation
Shared truck assignment with another driver
Strong attention to safety and time management
Ability to work in a fast-paced intermodal environment

Holiday Schedule

Thanksgiving: May Be Required to Work
Christmas: Off
New Year's Day: May Be Required to Work
