High School Assistant Site Coordinator - Los Angeles

Assistant Site Coordinator Responsibilities Assist the Site Coordinator by acting as the second point of contact for parents and administrators. Oversee the safety and well‑being of students during after‑school activities. Establish and enforce rules and expectations to promote positive behavior. Coordinate, manage, and be involved in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities. Attend trainings or staff meetings to stay updated on best practices in childcare, safety, and program management. Address challenging behavior constructively, involving supervisors or parents if necessary. Facilitate sign‑up procedures to ensure accurate attendance tracking. Create unique clubs for students, such as career readiness, cooking, anime, and dance. Organize and lead a variety of activities, including homework help, recreational games, arts and crafts, and educational projects. Qualifications At least 2 years of experience working in after‑school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities. Good communication skills, able to talk to both children and parents comfortably. College transcripts showing 48+ credit units completed, or the ability to pass an academic proficiency exam. Provide a negative TB test and pass a Live Scan background check. English‑Spanish bilingual speakers are a plus. Must provide documentation of full COVID‑19 vaccination if required by the school. The Assistant Site Coordinator position is part‑time, non‑exempt. This position reports to the Site Coordinator of the school site.
