Project Manager

A leading commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee complex construction projects across the Seattle market. This role will be responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing commercial construction projects, with experience coordinating owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, field teams, and internal project staff. Key Responsibilities Manage all phases of construction projects, including preconstruction, procurement, construction, closeout, and post-construction. Develop and execute project plans, schedules, budgets, and staffing/resource strategies. Lead day-to-day project operations, including cost control, change management, forecasting, documentation, and reporting. Manage subcontractor procurement, scopes of work, contracts, change orders, and performance. Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project deliverables to ensure compliance with contract requirements. Work closely with Superintendents and field teams to maintain project schedule, quality, safety, and site logistics. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, consultants, trade partners, and authorities having jurisdiction. Support estimating and pricing efforts, including budgets, GMP development, change pricing, and value engineering. Monitor project financials, identify risks, resolve issues, and protect project profitability. Mentor and support Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers as needed. Ensure project documentation is accurate, current, and properly maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred. Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, cost control, and contract administration. Proven experience managing subcontractors, client relationships, project budgets, and project schedules. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documents. Strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills. Experience with project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, P6, or similar platforms preferred. Local Seattle/Puget Sound construction experience is a plus.
