Details Work in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU (MICU) within a Level III Trauma Center Care for adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock Attendings and residents present in the ICU 24 hours a day RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients Floating required, primarily to Medical/Surgical units, with ratios up to 1:4 or 1:5 when floated Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every other weekend required Night shift does not rotate Uses EPIC EMR for charting Free on-site parking available Requirements Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted) AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of continuous Adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU Must be able to read telemetry strips Telemetry competency required Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to a diverse adult ICU patient population Facility is a 400 bed complex community hospital with 220 Med Surg beds in addition to ICU and Maternity units Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility to be considered American Traveler Job ID P-742813.
