We are working with a client in Fort Lauderdale, FL that is looking for a Accountant to join their team. This role is fully onsite the first 6 months then will transition to 1 day remote. The ideal candidate must be willing to be hands-on with processing AP, AR, and payroll. Strong GL experience is ideal, but only required for Senior Accountant-level consideration. The ideal candidate brings a strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a hands-on approach to core accounting functions.Accountant Essential Job Functions:• Responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close activities• Oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness• Assists with financial reporting, account reconciliations, and preparation of internal financial statements• Supports cost tracking and financial reporting at a detailed operational level as applicable• Partners with leadership to provide financial insights, variance analysis, and operational support• Works cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure proper coding of transactions and accurate financial data• Maintains compliance with internal accounting policies and supports xhyhwjd ongoing process improvementsAccountant Education & Experience Requirements:• Minimum of 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience required for Accountant-level consideration• Experience supporting high-volume accounting environments strongly preferred• Prior exposure to AP, AR, and payroll processes required• Experience with ERP/accounting systems preferred• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
