Accounting Manager – Rancho Cordova, CA

Full-Time | Direct Hire | $90,000 – $110,000 annually | 100% Onsite

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting activities for a growing organization. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely completion of accounting functions across multiple entities while supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional with strong general ledger experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead and mentor accounting staff in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and supervise Staff Accountants.
• Manage fixed asset, telecom, and lease accounting activities.
• Review, code, and process invoices and employee expense reports.
• Analyze, audit, and reclassify costs across multiple cost and profit centers.
• Prepare and post month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing entries.
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Maintain billing schedules and update contract information within accounting systems.
• Manage notes payable schedules, including related-party transactions.
• Prepare financial reports, analysis, and special projects as requested by management.
• Assist with annual budgeting and balance sheet review processes.
• Train, delegate, and provide guidance to accounting team members.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 7–10 years of professional accounting experience with strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals and general ledger systems.
• Prior experience supervising or mentoring accounting staff.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Advanced analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software; SAP experience preferred.

Compensation & Schedule

• Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 annually
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 100% onsite
• Overtime: Approximately 15% overtime potential
