Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position in Spokane, Washington. This role involves providing specialized care in a busy obstetric setting, including high-risk antepartum, labor, and delivery scenarios. The nurse will float between units as needed within a Level II Trauma Center, supporting maternal emergencies and complex obstetric cases.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Washington or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of submission); ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications; 2 years of experience in labor and delivery; experience with labor & delivery, high risk antepartum, use of intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC), central line maintenance, maternal emergency management, and conducting high-risk deliveries.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system; community hospital background; familiarity with trauma level II procedures.
• Float: Float rotation may be required between units such as NICU, mother/baby, or other relevant areas within the facility.
• Additional Information: The role supports approximately 200-300 births per month, with responsibilities including triage of obstetric patients, assisting with high-risk deliveries, conducting sterile vaginal exams, and managing maternal medications such as insulin drips and magnesium sulfate. The daily census averages nine deliveries, with a total of 25 rooms and 27 beds in the unit.
