Badger Meter is a great place to grow your career because we combine a culture of innovation and collaboration with a deep commitment to sustainability.As an Assembler II, you'll play a key role in building high-quality products that help preserveEmployees regularly rotate through various workstations within their home department and occasionally work in other areas of the facility depending on workload and customer orders. Responsible for observing safe work habits and maintaining cleanliness of work area.Job Duties:Meter Assembly: - Perform a variety of operations such as assembly of meters, leak testing, meter testing, and packaging of meter products while following safety guidelines. - Assemble products, following work instructions ensuring the highest quality products, meeting company product standards, production goals, and customer specifications and delivery requirements. - Set up and operate meter accuracy and leak test equipment to determine acceptability of product. - Operate computer to check schedules, obtain part drawings, set up work procedures and update manufacturing status of jobs. - Work from dispatch lists or production schedules to obtain required daily output.Registration Assembly: - Perform highly varied register assembly, sub-assembly and test operations on electro/mechanical units. - Fit and assemble PC board assemblies along with register sub-assembly into register housing for various specialty application registration devices. - Work from simple assembly drawings, routings and standard procedures. - Use equipment such as small arbor press, screwdriver, nut driver, hand soldering iron, ultrasonic welder and computer-run test equipment. - Test assembled register for proper function and accuracy. - Assemble cartons and packages registers/generators for distribution according to customer specifications.Education and Experience:High School Degree/GED preferred0-1 years of related experience preferredQualifications:Ability to pass internal forklift and hazmat training requiredBasic proficiency with computers requiredBasic skills in math requiredBasic ability to read, write, and speak English preferredCompetencies:Work Standards: Setting high standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-imposing standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed.Initiating Action: Take prompt action to accomplish work goals; take action to achieve results beyond what is required; be proactive.Communication: Convey information and ideas clearly and concisely to individuals or groups in an engaging manner that helps them understand and retain the message; listen actively to others.Collaboration: Work collaboratively with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives.Working Conditions:Work is performed in a manufacturing environment.Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day.Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.This position requires good manual dexterity, coordination and stamina.Must be able to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.Must be able to pass an audiogram test.Competitive Total Rewards at Badger Meter:Competitive PayEligible for Annual Pay IncreasesComprehensive Health, Vision, and Dental Coverage15 days Paid Time Off + 11 Paid HolidaysTwo Ways to Save for Retirement: Badger Meter contributes 25 cents for every dollar you contribute to the plan, up to 7% of your eligible compensation.
