Sales Representative

Position Summary Represents the company to its customers for the purpose of selling equipment and other company services. Maintains profit goals of the company while providing valuable customer service and satisfaction to all customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Contact customers and sell the company's products and services. Submit daily call reports, lost sales reports, etc. on a timely basis. Maintain sales department vehicles and office equipment. Ensure all documents associated with sales of whole goods and attachments are properly and totally completed electronically. Update yourself daily on changes to manufacturers terms, discounts, and special programs, sales, deliveries, valuations, and new equipment arrivals. Attend any company, store and community functions that will benefit the dealership; visit customers. Ensure that new machines and machines going out on a demonstration are clean and ready to go; that follow-up service is conducted as required and in line with factory benefits. Keep current on product knowledge and benefits of specific machines. Keep abreast of competitive activity and products. Have a good knowledge of used equipment values and be able to evaluate for trading purposes. Perform field demonstrations of equipment to prospective customers. Maintain all manuals, price lists, and other documents given by the dealership in professional and current condition at all times. Have a working knowledge of all factory finance plans. Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to company safety program at all times. Perform other duties as assigned; cooperate with other departments of the dealership. Customer Service Responsibilities Ensure every customer is satisfied with the products, services and support of all staff. Resolve customers concerns efficiently and effectively. Promote a positive attitude at all times. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. Exhibit Birkey's high level of customer service on a daily basis. Acknowledge appreciation of clients and customers. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience: 2‑4 years of related experience; steady work record. Able to set work priorities and work independently in absence of supervision and understand oral and written directions. High degree of motivation in team members to retain focus on providing highest customer satisfaction. Physical Requirements Ability to get around the assigned territory, dealership and grounds for various tasks. Normally lift or move 10 lbs.; frequently lift or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs. Ability to tolerate up and down movement with bending or stooping, including reaching above and below shoulder height with arms and hands. Ability to be on one's feet for extended periods of time. Ability to operate equipment or other power equipment as necessary. Ability to drive to a customer site; must meet health assessment requirements. Work Environment Frequently exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise. Generally required to stand for long periods of time. Noise level usually moderate. May be near moving mechanical parts and in variable weather conditions. Extensive keystroke tasks required. Compensation Competitive compensation along with a benefits package commensurate with relevant experience, qualifications, and market standards.
