Near family seeking a responsible and flexible babysitter.

We’re looking for someone to join our family in a recurring childcare position with a flexible, hands-on family! Our ideal candidate is dependable, playful, energetic, and a great communicator. We’re very involved with our kids—we play tag at the park, dance in the living room, spend lots of time outdoors, read plenty of books, and encourage them to be as independent as possible within safe boundaries. We also keep screen time to a minimum. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being with young children—getting on the floor to play, reading books, going outside, doing simple age-appropriate activities, and becoming an important, trusted part of our children’s everyday lives. Responsibilities would primarily include caring for our 1-year-old, preparing simple snacks and lunches, and helping the kids clean up after meals and activities. This position will mainly be with our 1-year-old until he begins school in January. After January, we would love for this to turn into an ongoing position with our family (and hope you’ll want to stay with us too!), caring for both children for a few hours in the evening one or two days per week. We’re a flexible family and want this to be a great fit for everyone. Above all, we’re looking for someone who is reliable, engaged, loving, and comfortable becoming part of our family’s routine. Must have reliable transportation.
